What a difference a year makes

Ever wonder what the will of God is concerning you ? It is to give thanks in all things. I Thessalonians 5:18 In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

I'm saying this for myself you see. Same time, last year: see the window sill and every flat surface full of cards and pictures, well the clutter drove us kids a little nuts. This room full of books and cards, self determination and mobility has been traded now for a smaller room in skilled nursing with less surfaces to place cards, no room for books really but more importantly, our mother has less interest in any of these things. She has traded much determination to walk for a huge reliance on a gentle and kind staff for mobility. One year, what a difference. Amazingly my mom, no matter what state she finds herself in, can be heard saying "I am thankful and grateful." I appreciate the reminder mom.
